Low growing shrub, slightly taller than wide, reaching about 0.9m in 20 years

Flowers: Trusses of 2-5 hose-in-hose, funnel shaped flowers with very wavy-edged lobes; moderate purplish red in bud, opening strong purplish red inside with a red flush on the lower part of the outer corolla and red spotting on the upper lobe of both corollas

Not scented

Foliage: Narrowly elliptic leaves, 30mm long x 13mm wide, flat with decurved margins, glossy green above, hairless

Other Information: Registered in 1995 by George Hyde’s daughter, Rosemary and introduced by Linwood Plants. A floriferous azalea with very unusual flowers. Commercially available
